Welcome to the first edition of my "newsletter". Attached is the pdf file of all the concerts I have upcoming and went to this year. I plan to send this bi-weekly or monthly. I thank a couple of friends for spurring this idea. People ask me to let them know when I am going to concerts and this is how I am going to do it.

I hope this turns people on to some of the music I like and encourages people to text me about what they like. This will not be a timely notification for when tickets are released so you will miss popular acts (e.g., six of Badbadnotgood's eight-show run at Blue Note sold out within 2 hours), but that is ok because there are so many services that notify you of music shows. This will maybe turn you on to newer acts that won't sell out quickly (e.g., Kyle Sparkman, he has less than 25k spotify monthly listeners - that makes me cool right?!). Most importantly, I want this to encourage more music sharing and concert going.

I spent three or four hours figuring out a way to use some newsletter service (e.g., beehiiv, mailchip). None of those make sense right now, I didn't want to learn them, and all I got out of that exercise was a silly "dylic logo" which took 3 mins to craft on one of the services. I decided on a very basic format and weird color choice for now. I am open to feedback!

Concerts in gray are ones I am not going to, but would. If you want to talk about music, please text me and don't email. In the future, my emails shouldn't be this long. Instead, I'll call out what has been added to the file and I'll provide a couple recs that I have been listening to recently.

If you know anyone that would enjoy this newsletter, in addition to the first 30 recipients, please introduce them to me.

Email me if you ever want out. I won't be offended.
